We have specialists in pediatric dentistry, orthodontic and oral prosthetics, as well as hospital dentists, dental hygienists, dental nurses, speech therapists, occupational therapists and physiotherapists. The main focus of our clinical activities at the Mun-H-Center is orofacial and dental functional impairments such as sucking, eating, chewing and swallowing difficulties, speech problems, drooling, tooth grinding, sleep apnea, malocclusions, and dental aberrations All these are common components of rare disorders.
The Mun-H-Center has a national network for the collection, documentation and dissemination of knowledge. The information is collected in the database known as “the MHC database”. Data is collected through observation charts and questionnaires. Another important source of knowledge is the family weeks arranged by Ågrenska. Anyone with questions regarding the orofacial perspective on rare disorders is welcome to contact the Mun-H-Center. Skill enhancement training courses are offered to users and their families, dental personnel and other personnel groups.
From an organizational point of view, the Mun-H-Center is part of the public dental services of the county of Bohuslän in the region of Västra Götaland. Since 1999, our national activities have been state funded. In addition to our activities at Ågrenska in Hovås on the outskirts of Göteborg, we also have activities at the Göteborg Institute of Odontology.
